Conditions

Back Pain

Back pain is something 8 out of 10 people will likely experience at least once in a lifetime. Back pain is often caused by minor spinal imbalances and misalignments typically brought on by mechanical strain (poor posture, repetitive movement, frequent sitting) or physical stress. In other cases, our more specific causes such as joint inflammation (arthritis) or joint space narrowing (stenosis) cause back pain.

Back pain of all kinds responds well to chiropractic adjustments that help realign the spinal joints and improve activation and signaling of the central nervous system housed within the spinal column.

Sciatica

Sciatica is a leading cause of disability and can cause intense, sometimes severe, leg pain, numbness, and weakness. It most often occurs due to compression of the left or right sciatic nerve root in the lower back because of a herniated or bulging disc, bony cyst, misaligned joint space, or more rarely a tumor.

Non-surgical spinal decompression and trunk stabilizing exercises are both effective treatments that can restore sciatic nerve health and reduce symptoms.

Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused by both physical and mental factors. Our chiropractor can alleviate neck pain and stiffness through things such as postural re-training, ergonomic improvements, soft tissue massage, and spinal adjustments.

Sports Injuries

No matter your age or ability level, a sports injury can happen to you at any moment. These injuries may include muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendonitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and more.

Certain things may increase your risk for a sports injury, including repetitive movements, high impact sports, postural imbalances, poor body mechanics, insufficient nutrition, and over-training. Dr. Wasserman provides individualized patient education, nutritional counseling, and more, in order to mitigate these risk factors and maximize physical performance.
